Professional Profile

Pauline is the Head, School of Nursing, Deakin University and holds the Chair of Nursing Development. Pauline is also on the executive of the Australian Council of Deans of Nursing and Midwifery having been the President for the past four years. Pauline has also been a Ministerial appointment to the State Nursing and Recruitment and Retention Committee and State Nursing Practitioner Taskforce.

She is a member of the Australian Health Workforce Advisory Committee, a Board Member of Southern Health and in 2003 was appointed as Chair of the Southern Health Quality Committee.

Pauline has a broad knowledge of innovative curriculum development, and course design and has established successful Australian and international partnerships with industry to meet the nursing profession's needs in research and education.

Pauline's research interests are related to health workforce planning and in leadership in clinical environments at the Nurse Unit Manager level.
