Professional Profile

Di joined the Industry Skills Council as CEO in July 2002 following a career of over 14 years as a learning and business development specialist in Health, Business Services (HR) and Financial Services. Di describes her self as passionate about creating opportunities for life long learning.

Di has held significant leadership roles in learning and business development and in her previous role as CEO of an Registered Training Organisation in Financial services turned around the company’s business fortunes earning her a nomination as Telstra Business Woman of the year.

Di sits on a range of national workforce development committees and projects, including:

  • National Aged Care Workforce Committee
  • National Indigenous Housing Workforce Skills Development Committee

Her research, publications and consultancy portfolio include the conduct and management of a range of national competency and training project. Current projects include:

  • Review of the Health Training Package HLT02 (including placing EN competencies into the Package)
  • Review of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker competencies and Qualifications
  • Development of assessment framework to address the skills needs of workers to meet the requirements of the new separating parent’s legislation
  • Mental Health Skills eco-System
  • Engaging the untapped workforce resource development for the CS&H Industries
  • Palliative Approach competencies inclusion in Community services Training Package.
