Appeal Fund Contributes to the Statewide Reconstruction Plan

20 October 2009 The Rebuilding Together plan sets out the rebuilding priorities for bushfire-affected communities. The Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund is proud to be able to contribute $56 million to the statewide reconstruction effort on behalf of its donors.

Kerry Murphy appointed to Bushfire Appeal Fund Panel

1 October 2009 The Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund is pleased to announce that Country Fire Authority (CFA) chair Kerry Murphy has been appointed to the Fund's advisory panel, replacing Pat McNamara who has now taken on the role of chair following the stepping down of former chair John Landy.

Closing Dates for Emergency Payments

16 September 2009 Bushfire-affected individuals and communities have moved from the emergency to recovery phase. To ensure it continues to meet support people who need it the most, the Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund has reviewed some of its initial payments to decide if they are still needed.
