SRS Legislation Review
The Victorian government is reviewing the laws that regulate supported residential services (SRS).

Contribute to the development of a National E-Health Strategy - launch of electronic survey

The National E-Health and Information Principal Committee (NEHIPC), a subcommittee of the Australian Health Ministers' Advisory Council (AHMAC), recently commissioned Deloitte to develop a national e-health strategy. NEHIPC is responsible for providing advice on e-health and information strategies, and promoting collaboration between the Commonwealth, States and Territories to implement these strategies.

The project involves the development of a vision and plan for e-health in consultation with a range of key stakeholders across the country, including consumers, clinicians, health service administrators, academics/researchers, IT vendors, government and relevant other service industries.

Future of ambulance service delivery in Victoria
The Victorian Government is committed to the delivery of high quality ambulance services to all Victorians.

Shaping the Future - The Victorian Alcohol and Other Drug Quality Framework April 2008
The Victorian Alcohol and Other Drug Quality Framework builds upon the accomplishments of the previous quality plan, within the overarching principles of the Department of Human Services (DHS) quality framework.

A new focus for mental health and wellbeing in Victoria
The Victorian Government has now released the Because mental health matters consultation paper. The paper outlines the new vision for Victoria’s mental health services and proposes priorities for action and possible solutions to identified needs.

Victoria's Alcohol Action Plan 2008-2013
The Victorian Government has released it's Action Plan to respond to growing concerns around alcohol abuse in Victoria.

Victorian Population Health Survey 2006
The Victorian Population Health Survey 2006 provides the latest snapshot of health and lifestyle behaviours, including how the state rates on physical activity, smoking, alcohol consumption, fruit and vegetable intake, obesity, asthma and diabetes prevalence.

Future prevalence of overweight and obesity in Australian children and adolescents, 2005-2025
Includes predicted body mass index (BMI) in children and adults, prevalence of overweight and/or obesity and the absolute number of Australians and Victorians overweight and/or obese in 2005, 2015 and 2025.

Ministerial Taskforce on Alcohol and Public Safety
The Ministerial Taskforce on Alcohol and Public Safety has been set up in response to growing concerns around alcohol abuse in Victoria.
