Student Scholarships Program - motivating study and life

08 September 2015

On Tuesday 8 September 280 determined Victorian students were awarded Student Scholarships by the Parliamentary Secretary to the Deputy Premier, Judith Graley. The Scholarships will help them to continue their final years of secondary school.

Each year, the Victorian Government’s Student Scholarship Program assists years 11 and 12 students who are living in social housing by providing a grant for books, laptops and course fees.

The program helps young people living in public or community housing or those at risk of homelessness, get the support they need to stay at school and achieve their full potential.

The recipients, their teachers, families and friends gathered at RMIT’s Storey Hall to celebrate the achievements of the young students.

During her speech Ms Graley commended the students for their determination to stay at school and build a solid foundation for their future.

Further information about the awards is available on the Student Scholarships Program page on this site.
