When a person on the autism spectrum has a tendency to wander, this can cause worry for families, carers and professionals. AMAZE has worked in collaboration with the department’s Office of Professional Practice and a number of stakeholders to conduct research and develop the resource.

The resource is intended to support families and carers with practical guidance when caring for people who wander, and how to engage professional support when required.

This resource is evidence based, which means the techniques and suggestions it makes have been researched and found to help in cases where people wander.
