Overview
The Primary Health Branch Policy and Funding Guidelines provide information about the key strategic directions, funded programs and major initiatives to be undertaken during 2006–2009. The factors that influence Branch activities are described in the Rural and Regional Health and Aged Care Services Division, Policy and Funding Plan, 2006–07 to 2008–09 (Divisional Plan). It is recommended that the Primary Health Branch Policy and Funding Guidelines be read in conjunction with the Divisional Plan.
The Primary Health Branch Policy and Funding Guidelines have been updated to include key changes and developments relevant to the current financial year (2008-09).
Current Update:
- Minimum changes have been made to the structure and content of the document.
- The foreword has been updated and the Primary Health Policy context includes two new sections, Working with GPs and Integrated Chronic Disease.
- Most areas in the Sector Development Section have been reviewed and updated to reflect work that has occurred and to define specific actions that will occur in 2008-09 and beyond. Some dates have changed.
- Minor changes have been made to the detail in the Programs Section.
