Workshop: considering gender and mental health

‘Considering gender and mental health’ is the new workshop offered by Women’s Health Victoria. This workshop was held in October and due to the amount of interest, will be held again on Friday 11 December.
Considering Gender and Mental Health will cover:
- why gender is important in mental health
- the DHS Gender and Diversity Lens
- a case study on mental health related hospitalisations and gender
- a gender analysis of depression.
The workshops are designed for professionals working in a range of areas including:
- health and social policy
- health promotion and community development
- health and support services
- women’s health
- community health
- local and state government.
Date: 9.15am to 3.30pm, Friday 11 December 2009.
Venue: Women’s Health Victoria, Level 1, 123 Lonsdale Street Melbourne.
Cost: $30 per person.
