Workshop: Community Based Obesity Prevention (CO-OPS)
Date published: 2009-10-09 14:32:56
The CO-OPS Collaboration is an Australian Government funded initiative which aims to:
- identify and analyse the lessons learnt from a range of community-based projects aimed at tackling obesity
- identify the elements that make community-based projects successful
- share the knowledge gained with other communities.
The CO-OPS Secretariat has planned the 2009 workshop to focus on:
- maximising the opportunity for practitioners involved in community interventions to share their project findings
- presenting a range of keynote speakers around current research and findings
- workshopping best practice principles.
CO-OPS is offering practitioners the chance to share their experiences and have them published in a case study storybook, which will be printed in 2010. As attendee numbers for the National Workshop are limited, priority will be given to those who submit a case study submission for consideration.
Date: Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 November 2009.
Venue: Etihad Stadium, Melbourne.
Cost: there is no registration cost to attend the CO-OPS National Workshop, however those wishing to attend will need to pay for their own travel and accommodation once registration is confirmed.
