Seminar: Relating to ourselves - using narratives to improve the health of immigrant and refugee women

Seminar guest speakers and topics include:
- Trisha, a GP and Professor of Primary Health Care from London, will explain how health professionals can incorporate narratives in health promotion programs targeting immigrant and refugee women.
- Carolyn Poljski from MCWH and Regina Quiazon from Victoria University will discuss the use of story-telling techniques in the Diabetes Healthy Living Project, a diabetes prevention initiative for immigrant and refugee women.
- Violetta Marciano, a bilingual health educator at the Multicultural Centre for Women's Health, will share her experiences using stories in diabetes education for Italian women.
