Seminar: Osteoporosis "The bone facts"

Experts in the field of osteoporosis prevention and management will discuss the latest advances in medical and conservative management of osteoporosis:
- Associate Professor Robin Daly will discuss how physical activity is utilised in the prevention and conservative management of osteoporosis
- Professor Keith Hill will outline best practice in relation to falls prevention, highlighting some of the programs available in the community
- Dr Sonja Kukuljan will provide insight into nutrition and Vitamin D in the prevention and conservative management of osteoporosis
- Claudia Gagnon MD FRCPC will discuss medical management of osteoporosis, including the role of new medications available in the market.
Participants will be given the opportunity to review cases in small groups following the presentations.
Date: 9:30am to 4pm, Tuesday 25 August 2009.
Venue: Arthritis Victoria, 263-265 Kooyong Road, Elsternwick.
