Presentation: Better oral health in residential aged care

DHS has been part of this national project to develop evidence based best practice oral health for residential care.

The education and training program developed through this project is being rolled out to all Australian residential aged care facilities by the end of 2010 as part of the national Nursing Home Oral and Dental Health Plan announced by the Minister for Ageing in March 2009.

The Better Oral Health in Residential Care Model, developed through the project, will be presented by Anne Fricker and Adrienne Lewis from the South Australian Dental Service. Glenys Sleeman will discuss the project implementation at one of the Kyabram project site in Victoria.

Date: 10am to 12pm, 9 September 2009.
Venue: Frank Knight Conference Centre (behind DHS Head Office at 50 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne).
Attendees: people working in agencies delivering public dental health services.
