Gippsland health promotion conference

The conference theme is 'Learning and Sharing through Evaluation'. The program includes:
- Key note speakers Dr Therese Riley (VicHealth Research Leader, Melbourne School of Population Health, University of Melbourne) and Ms Melanie Nichols (Research Fellow – Program Evaluation, CO-OPS Collaboration, Deakin University) will share their expertise in evaluating community interventions in the day sessions.
- Nine Gippsland guest presenters (from local government, schools, health services, primary care partnerships and tertiary education) will be sharing their local health promotion action and evaluation findings on a range of physical activity, healthy eating and mental wellbeing initiatives.
- Three practical skill development workshops.
- Guest speaker Dr Jim Hyde (Director Public Health, Department of Health) presenting on 'the prevention landscape in Victoria: the role of evaluation in informing strategy' at the dinner session.
