Forum: Client service models, but not as you know them - Medicare and community health services
Date published: 2009-10-01 14:29:45
18 November 2009 - a date for your diary.
This is advanced notice of an upcoming forum which will explore how community health services are implementing models that support effective care of chronic disease and complex conditions using the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS).
A number of MBS item numbers have the potential to lead to more integrated local approaches to health care provision by providing remuneration for GPs, practice nurses and allied health professionals to work together. Work by community health services to implement new models of care that involve general practice and incorporate appropriate MBS item numbers can also enhance client access to public and private services.
Date: 9am to 4pm, Wednesday 18 November.
Venue: Department of Human Services, 50 Lonsdale St, Melbourne
