Diabetes consultation forum for health professionals

The Centre for Clinical Research Excellence in Clinical Science in Diabetes (Diabetes CRE) at the University of Melbourne is conducting community engagement consultation to inform the work being undertaken by Diabetes CCRE and to explore the research needs in the community in order to setup a future research agenda and provide better resources to work with people with type 1 and 2 diabetes.

Health professionals are invited to attend a consultation group discussion to discuss:

  • what areas of type 1 and 2 diabetes research would you wish to see being done? What are the gaps in research that you perceive?
  • How can research assist people with type 1 and 2 diabetes achieve a better health outcome and quality of life?
  • What areas of type 1 and 2 diabetes research would you consider to most benefit from in-depth research?

Date: 6.30pm to 8.00pm, Tuesday 10 November 2009.

Venue: conference rooms, ground floor, Aikenhead Wing, St Vincents Hospital, 27 Victoria Parade, Fitzroy.
