The role of the Policy and Strategy Unit is to lead and resource the development of evidence based policy and strategy to guide Victorian health services in the systematic improvement of quality and safety.
Policy and strategy are developed through partnerships across the Statewide Quality Branch, Department of Human Services, health services, community and other jurisdictions.
The Policy and Strategy Unit has responsibility for:
- Consumer, carer and community participation and information
- Clinical engagement including credentialling and defining the scope of clinical practice
- Culturally & linguistically diverse patient issues
- Public hospital accreditation in Victoria
- Victorian patient satisfaction monitor
