Overview
The Statewide Quality Branch (formerly Quality and Safety Branch) is committed to playing a strategic role in delivering the best possible outcomes for all Victorians using healthcare services.
The Statewide Quality Branch is the principal adviser to the Minister for Health and the Department of Human Services executive team for statewide policy development, planning, resource allocation and monitoring of performance in relation to the systematic improvement of safety and quality in healthcare.
The new branch incorporates the Consultative Council on Obstetric and Paediatric Mortality and Morbidity (CCOPMM), the Victorian Patient Satisfaction Monitor and the Private Hospitals and Non Emergency Patient Transport Unit.
