The Financial Operations & Development (FOD) unit of the Planning & Resources Branch, Rural & Regional Health & Aged Care (RRHACS) Division has the responsibility for the following:

  • Budget and output target development, monitoring and reporting for:
    • 6 output groups
      • Aged and Home Care
      • Primary and Dental Health
      • Public Health
      • Drugs Policy and Services
      • Small Rural Health Services
      • Quality and Safety
    • Rural health and aged care budgets (including Victorian rural hospital budgets)
    • Rural budgets
  • Budget and output target development
  • Monitoring and reporting on cash flow and expenditure
  • Preparation and coordination of performance reports to the Department of Treasury and Finance
  • Preparation and coordination of Cabinet budget related material for the Public Accounts and Estimates Committee (PAEC)
  • Preparation and coordination of RRHACS submissions for the Expenditure Review Committee of Cabinet
  • Support, coordination and monitoring of service agreements with relevance to the division and its output groups
  • Coordination and assessment of proposals for rural health service and statewide community health centre borrowings
