Quality and Safety Programs Unit is involved in developing, initiating and managing programs that support Victorian health services in the systematic improvement of quality and safety. This includes responsibility for jurisdictional representation on relevant and appropriate national quality and safety programs.
The key responsibility of this area is to ensure there are sound programs in place to address emerging trends and support the Statewide Quality Branch (SQB) policy and strategic direction. Working with SQB units, this area will provide advice and develop targeted safety and quality initiatives in key areas of known risk within Victorian Health Services.
