Media Unit

The Media Unit provides a comprehensive media relations and monitoring service to the Department. Its members develop media strategies, prepare media releases and provide official comment to media organisations on behalf of the Department.

The unit also produces the print and online publication human services news for the general public and professionals from the health and human services sectors. It is designed to publicise departmental services, programs and policies and is distributed through hospitals, funded agencies, libraries and regional departmental offices.

A media officer is on call 24 hours a day.
