Regional Programs
The Regional office is responsible for the planning, funding and delivery of a wide range of health, housing and community programs in Melbournes south-east.We provide housing assistance, child protection, support for young people involved in the juvenile justice system, assistance for people with disability, specialist services for children with developmental delay and school nursing. Further information about these services is provided in the "Our Services" section of this web site.The Regional Office is also responsible through funding and performance monitoring for the delivery of quality health and community services provided by over 800 agencies.
This work involves the program areas:
- Community Care - including preschool and child care, maternal and child health, family support, neighbourhood houses, services for children and young people in statutory care.
- Housing, Primary and Complex Care - including community housing, supported accomodation, alcohol and drug treatment services and community health.
- Disability Services - including accomodation, case management and day programs.
The Regional office also plays a key role supporting local collaboration in areas such as planning, social policy development, Public Health Development and community building. The Social and Community Strategy Unit supports this work.
