Career opportunities

The Department of Human Services fund and directly provide services in the areas of Disability, Youth Justice, Child Protection, Health, Housing and Aged Care. The Grampians Region directly employs staff across these programs in direct care roles and there are also career opportunities in corporate support roles/project officer positions.

What the Grampians area offers

Grampians Region is the perfect host serving up a fine array of festivals, including the world famous Begonia Festival in Ballarat, along with the Gourmet Food and Wine Festival in Halls Gap.

Once you have survived this, there is a whole region to discover.

Ballarat, the main city within the Region, lies close to some of Central Victoria's finest attractions, including the spectacular Grampians, the wineries of the Pyrenees, the historic mining towns such as Clunes and Creswick and the fine restaurants of Daylesford, not to mention the wonderful experience of the Health Retreats and spas at Hepburn Springs.

The lifestyle of living in this part of Victoria is conducive to wonderful outdoor activities such as bush walking, cycling, abseiling, golf, fishing, sailing and rowing on Lake Wendouree Ballarat.

The Region also offers fabulous entertainment and arts including South Street Festival, Art Galleries and Exhibitions and a range of local crafts and markets.
