Housing services

The Office of Housing is responsible for providing appropriate, affordable and secure housing assistance for low-income people living in Victoria.

Job description

Responsibilities include managing and maintaining tenancies, providing support services to clients, managing housing allocations, rental assistance and vacant properties

  • Providing information to clients on services
  • Identify and assess client’s housing needs and eligibility for services
  • Allocate properties to eligible applicants
  • Visiting and working with tenants
  • Ensuring maintenance work is carried out

Qualifications

There are no mandatory qualifications required. However, qualifications within the community services training package are desireable.

Salary

  • Housing Services Officer Grade 1 (HSO1) $39,000 - $44,541
  • Housing Services Officer Grade 2 (HSO2) $45,332 - $56,660
  • Housing Services Officer Grade 3 (HSO3) $57,755 - $62,140
