North Eastern AIDS Prevention Program is totally committed to the ongoing training and professional development of program staff, health professionals, community workers and any other organisations who require the necessary knowledge and skills in the area of harm minimisation, injecting drug use and disease prevention. We believe it is essential to raise awareness and understanding of these issues in order that our clients receive optimum care and do not experience discrimination when accessing services in the general community.

The manager of the program is an accredited HIV trainer with many years of experience in the field of health and harm reduction. The other staff of North Eastern AIDS Prevention Program also have extensive experience in the areas of needle & syringe programs, drug and alcohol services and counselling. The Steroid Peer Educator is a professional body builder who has a vast degree of knowledge of anabolic steroid use, their administration and side effects. North Eastern AIDS Prevention Program is also involved in research into the effects of injecting drug use. Training sessions can be organised by phoning 0417 349 309.

Workshops relating to any aspect of injecting drug use, harm reduction or blood borne viruses or anabolic steroid use can be put together and facilitated by our experienced staff according to the individual needs of the participants. We are available to come to your venue and are flexible with days and times. Our experience includes presenting workshops and training sessions at conferences, hospitals, community health services, schools and community groups.
