Hospital Director of Nursing Leigh Giffard. |
Ten local nurses have completed
their Bachelor of Nursing as part of the Moira Nursing Model career pathway
offered with the assistance of Charles Sturt University distance education
program.
Michelle Buchanan, Nurse Educator
for Moira Health Care Alliance and based at Cobram District Health,
said since completing the Bachelor of Nursing, eight of the
graduates had been employed within Moira Shire Health Services
and surrounding areas.
Mrs Buchanan said
locally-delivered nurse training allowed community members to increase
knowledge and skills, making them more likely to stay.
