Stand delivers

The Department of Human Services’ stand at the Royal Melbourne Show has won a Commercial Exhibitor Award.

The Department received the Best Display by a Government or Semi Government Authority Award for its exhibition in Government Expo Centre.

President of the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria Jack Seymour presented the Award to Department Corporate Communications Special Events Officer Anna Barnes.

Attractions at the Department’s stand this year included preschool activities such as mask making and drawing, CPR demonstrations by Metropolitan Ambulance Service with the help of YMCA volunteers and cooking demonstrations using recipes from the Better Health Channel.

Department staff volunteered their time at the stand during the 11 days of the Show.

Department Secretary Patricia Faulkner congratulated staff on making the Show stand a success.
