October 2002
Help for agencies on data collection
The new Quarterly Data Collection (QDC) Information System aims
to minimise the duplication of effort by service providers collecting
data for Department of Human Services purposes.
The QDC will combine the various Disability, Psychiatric Disability
Support Services (PDSS) and Home and Community Care (HACC) data
collection processes into a single data information system that
will fulfil the Departments reporting requirements for both
State and Federal Governments.
The new disability data collection begins in the OctoberDecember
quarter.
The Department has developed an electronic tool for the QDC to
help service providers collect the data.
Expected roll-out of the QDC is the end of October.
The Department will establish a Helpdesk service to aid service
providers with the QDC Information System.
The QDC Helpdesk will be available from October 24
on free-call 1800 352 561 Monday to Friday between 9a.m. and 5p.m.
or by email at QDChelp@dhs.vic.gov.au.
Further information on the QDC Information System can be found at
www.dhs.vic.gov.au/qdc.
