Art testimony to courage
The dramatic and popular Warrior Women art exhibition about breast cancer opens at the Goya Galleries, Southbank on October 17.
The display, which closes on October 28, provides a unique insight into the breast cancer journey and the lives of women who have been affected by the disease.
Women of all ages, cultural and social backgrounds collaborated with women artists to develop this exhibition of more than 100 pieces of art.
Images and stories are presented through videos, projections, audio CDs, slides, photographs, design and writing.
The Goya Galleries season is the first stop on a Victorian tour, supported by the Department of Human Services through BreastCare Victoria.
