Health trial in Northern Region

Northern Health’s Coordinated Health unit needs people with chronic health problems such as diabetes, arthritis, asthma or osteoporosis—and are using several health and community services—for a new health trial.

They must live in the municipalities of Banyule, Boroondara, Darebin, Hume, Moreland, Nillumbik, Whittlesea or Yarra.

The trial will involve participants, their family doctors and a service coordinator to work out what medical care and community help is best.

Patient services will be reviewed at regular intervals or when necessary to make sure they are suitable.

The trial is funded by the Commonwealth Government with the support of the State Government and several public hospitals.
