New CEO for Western Health

Western Health has appointed Jon Evans Chief Executive Officer.

Mr Evans has been acting CEO since May.

Western Health incorporates Western, Sunshine and Williamstown Hospitals, DASWest Drug and Alcohol Service, Hazeldean Nursing Home and Reg Geary House.

‘Western Health has highly skilled and committed staff and I’m looking forward to working with them to achieve our vision of excellence in health care delivery,’ Mr Evans said.

Mr Evans’ former positions at Western Health included stints as Chief of Operations and Chief of Williamstown Hospital.

He previously held several senior health positions with Melbourne Health, North Western Health Care Network, Western Health Care Network and within Community Health, Drug and Alcohol and Corrections in Western Australia.

Mr Evans is a Williamson Community Leadership Fellow and a Director of the Victorian Public Health Education and Research Council (VPHERC).

He is currently completing his Executive MBA.
