Jazz by the sea ensures high
note for residents

Mornington Peninsula aged care
residents arrive at the Rosebud foreshore with the help of HMAS Cerberus naval
medics. |
More than 200 aged care
residents from across the Mornington Peninsula have had the pleasure of a day
of jazz, belly dancing and bocce.
The Big Day Out—Jazz by
the Sea celebration provided residents from Peninsula Health’s aged care
facilities a chance to enjoy the excitement of an outdoor event.
The event took place on the
Rosebud foreshore where residents, their families and friends enjoyed
performances from the HMAS Cerberus naval band and local country and western
band, Cowan and Co.
Medics from HMAS Cerberus and
students from Monash University and Chisholm Institute helped staff with
patient transfers and extra supervision.
Volunteers from the Vietnam
Veterans Club helped with the barbecue.
Community and Continuing Care
Operations Director Lyn Jamieson praised Lotus Lodge, Jean Turner, Rosewood
House, Michael Court and Carinya aged care facilities staff and volunteers.
