Peninsula Health appointment

Dr Richard Newton has been appointed Director of Clinical Services (Psychiatry) at Peninsula Health.

Dr Newton joined Peninsula Health in May 1997 as a specialist psychiatrist and has been acting director since early last year.

He is also a senior lecturer in the Monash University’s Department of Psychological Medicine.

As chair of the Victorian Psychiatric Training Committee, Dr Newton is responsible for ensuring that registrar training programs across Victoria meet Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists requirements.
