Harvard guests to lead short course

Harvard School of Public Health’s Professor Ichiro Kawachi and Assistant Professor S V Subramanian will be international guest presenters at the Social Determinants of Health—Short Course between June 6 and 10.

The five-day course will be hosted by the Key Centre for Women’s Health in Society in the School of Population Health at the University of Melbourne.

It is designed for policy-makers, health service providers, academics and post-graduate students who have an interest in the social determinants of health.

The course will focus on social epidemiology and research methods to explore some of the key theories and methods underpinning this vital discipline.

Dr Milicia Markovic and Associate Professor Anne Kavanagh of the Key Centre for Women’s Health in Society will also present.
