Conference to highlight successful practices

The 2004 Council for Intellectual Disability Agencies (CIDA) conference will be held at Melbourne Park Function Centre on May 20 and 21.

The Paradigm to Practice conference will highlight strategies that have succeeded in providing individualised, person-centred support to facilitate genuine community inclusion for people with an intellectual disability.

The conference will feature presentations by service providers, people with disabilities, families, researchers and policy makers.

Keynote speakers will include Jeff Strully, Executive Director of Jay Nolan Community Services in California, U.S.A, and University of New Hampshire Institute on Disability Rehabilitation Projects Director Dr David Hagner.
