Jennine Harbrow and Yasmine
Ivankovic have taken out the annual Southern Health International Nursing and
Midwifery Awards.
Ms Harbrow, who works at
Dandenong Hospital, was presented with the Southern Health/Hesta Senior Nurse
Midwife award.
She was recognised for her
ability to engage her peers and colleagues in strategy development and service
reform across the organisation.
Ms Harbrow has been described as
a strong and visionary nurse leader with a positive influence on the way
services are shaped to bring about improvement at Dandenong Hospital.
Ms Ivankovic, from the Coronary
Care Unit at Monash Medical Centre Clayton, received the Southern
Health/McMillan Shakespeare Nurse Midwife award.
Her CCU team sees her as a visionary
and enthusiastic nurse leader with strong values and work ethic.
Ms Ivankovic is a nurse who
leads by example and nurtures others to always contribute their best.
She demonstrates the strengths
required for nurse leadership and influencing positive patient outcomes.
