A new website provides
information and links to all Victorian Government services for
young people aged between 10 and 18.
Developed by the
Office for Children, the Youth Services website also provides
a section for Department of Human Services-specific youth services.
Site features include:
Summaries of
programs coordinated by Youth Services, such as Adolescent Support,
the Refugee Minor Program, School Focused Youth Service (SFYS)
and Secondary School Nursing Program (SSNP);
Service directory
and contact details for many government and non-government services
for young people;
Professional
development resources and an opportunities page including links
to events and training opportunities for professionals working
with young people;
Publications
page including recent research about young people, program guidelines
and program evaluations;
Summaries of
Department of Human Services' programs and links for other Department
divisions that provide services for young people.
The Youth Services
website makes accessing resources and services provided by the
Department of Human Services for young people much easier.
The coordination
of information from the different divisions across the Department
was made possible by the commitment and cooperation of members
of the DHS Officers Forum.
The Youth Services
website address is http://www.dhs.vic.gov.au/youthservices.
