The Other Film Festival 2006 will present a strong and diverse program of Australian and international films including new works by filmmakers with a disability.

The festival, with and about people with a disability, will be held at Melbourne Museum's Age Theatre from August 25 to 27.

The weekend will also feature interviews, forums and professional development opportunities for filmmakers.

The Other Film Festival offers an unprecedented level of accessibility for patrons with a disability, including captioning, audio description, sign interpreting and other access services.

Academy Award winning animator Adam Elliott will serve as patron for The Other Film Festival for the second time, following a successful 2004 festival.

The festival is a major project of Arts Access Victoria and is supported by the City of Melbourne, Film Victoria, the Australian Film Commission, Melbourne Museum, the Department of Human Services, Blythe-Sanderson Disability Management and Media Access Australia.

For more information visit www.otherfilmfestival.com or call 9699 8299 or TTY 9699 7636.
