Conference
a highlight of Housing Week
About
50 expert speakers will take part in a series of sessions and seminars
during a Building Communities conference on April 23 as part of
Housing Week.
The
conference, a first for Housing Week, is open to people with an interest
in public and community housing.
It
will tackle topics such as long-term responses to homelessness and community
and service development.
Minister
for Housing and Aged Care Bronwyn Pike will address the all-day conference,
to be held at the Carlton Crest Hotel in Queens Road, Melbourne.
The
conference will be one of more than 150 events during Housing Week, between
April 17 to 24.
Now
in its fourth year, Housing Week is an established part of public and
community housings calendar with many communities organising events.
Another
highlight will be the announcement by Minister Pike of the Environmentally
Sustainable Housing Design competition winner.
