Should I eat the fish I catch? Advice for people who catch fish in the Lower Yarra and Maribyrnong riversMany Victorians enjoy fishing in Melbourne's waterways as a recreational activity. Over time, urban waterways can become polluted and fish caught in these areas can be contaminated with chemicals. To reduce the risks associated with eating fish caught from the Lower Yarra and Maribyrnong Rivers, the Department of Human Services has provided this factsheet for anglers and people who eat fish from these areas. This factsheet is available in English, Greek, Italian and Vietnamese. |
