Reportable conduct scheme keeps more children safe

The Victorian Government is continuing its commitment to make Victoria safer for all children by introducing a reportable conduct scheme (scheme) from 1 July 2017.

The reportable conduct scheme applies to organisations with a high level of responsibility for children.

Under the scheme, the head of an organisation must report any allegations that an employee of their organisation has engaged in reportable conduct with a child to the Commission for Children and Young People (Commission).

The Commission has released a range of information sheets to assist organisations to meet their obligations under the scheme. This includes further details on in-scope organisations and reporting obligations.
