Have your say on rights in specialist disability accommodation

On 12 April 2017, Minister Foley released the Rights in Specialist Disability Accommodation Consultation Paper including a consultation process with residents, families and disability support workers to share their views on how their rights can be protected in the transition to the NDIS when it comes to specialist disability accommodation. The media release is attached below.

We would like to invite service providers, families and disability support workers of specialist disability accommodation to the consultation workshops being held across Victoria in the coming weeks. A small number of consultation sessions will also be organised for residents currently living in disability accommodation services.

Further information is available in the flyer attached.

Please distribute this flyer to people you think would be interested in attending the workshops including families who currently have a family member living in disability accommodation services. When confirmed, information about consultation opportunities for residents of specialist disability accommodation will be available at engage.vic.gov.au/sda
