Service Partnerships & Coordination
The Department of Human Services commitment to partnership and collaboration with the community services sector is based on the acknowledgement that we jointly share a common objective to achieve the best possible outcomes for Victorian families and individuals from the provision of our services.
This objective is underpinned by a common view of the value of partnering as a means of achieving positive community change, articulated in the Partnership in Practice Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the independent health, housing and community sector, 2009 -2012.
Partnership and collaboration principles have guided the working relationship between the department and the community services sector since 2002.
- Human Services Partnership Implementation Committee
Human Services Partnership Implementation Committee (HSPIC) is a joint committee of peak bodies and departmental representatives formed in 2004 to promote and facilitate collaborative activities between the Department of Human Services (DHS), Department of Health (DH) and the community sector.
