The Department of Human Services provides a range of support services to help residents in public housing to stay cool and healthy, particularly over the hot summer months.

Victoria will not, at this stage, participate in the NRSCH, but will instead make cost-effective changes to align Victoria's performance assessment and reporting requirements with the National Regulatory Code. The Victorian Government is open to reconsidering formal participation in the NRSCH at a later date, if it is demonstrated that there are clear benefits to Victoria of doing so.
