The Summer Preparedness Kit contains information for organisations in the health and community services sector to help you prepare for bushfires.
Bushfire Response: Clients & Services Policy 2011-12
The Department of Health and the Department of Human Services have released a policy for responding to the threat of bushfire. It considers recommendations from the Victorian Bushfire Royal Commission Interim Report and outlines actions to be taken by each program within both department's to protect our staff, clients and services.

Health Services, Alcohol and Drug Services, Public Sector Mental Health Services, Public Sector Residential Aged Care Services and Supported Residential Services
In an emergency where services require an immediate response from police, fire or ambulance services, the number to call is 000.
For relocation support (including coordination of accommodation assistance or transport assistance) or ‘remain on site’ support, services should contact the Health and Human Services Coordination Centre Duty Officer via VHEC.
Rural
Health Services, Alcohol and Drug Services, Public Sector Mental Health Services, Public Sector Residential Aged Care Services and Supported Residential Services
In an emergency where services require an immediate response from police, fire or ambulance services, the number to call is 000.
For relocation support (including coordination of accommodation assistance or transport assistance) or ‘remain on site’ support, services should contact the Regional Health and Human Services Operations Centre Duty Officer.
Approved providers of Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing can also call 1800 078 709 for advice and assistance with relocation options.
