The Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare
The Centre for Excellence in Child & Family Welfare (The Centre) is committed to leadership and excellence in child, youth and family services. Established in 1912, The Centre is the peak body representing the interests of over 80 CSOs that assist children, young people, families and communities.
The Centre undertakes research, provides policy advice to government, advocates for the needs of our members and their clients and provides training for member organisations.
The Centre supports CSOs to ensure adequate resources, quality and excellence in service provision. The Centre and its members provide a voice for those children, young people and families who are vulnerable.
The Centre is a registered training provider and also manages the Victorian Foster Care Recruitment Project which coordinates statewide foster care promotion, public relations and volunteer recruitment.
