Transition of Services

The Aids and Equipment Program is currently undergoing a period of transition. Local issuing centres will be gradually transitioned to the Statewide Equipment Program (SWEP) between December 2010 and April 2011. Transition to the SWEP will be undertaken gradually in 6 separate groups. Current issuing centres have been allocated a group based on the geographical location of the centre. The transition will commence with the rural issuing centres first (groups 1 and 2) and then the metropolitan issuing centres (groups 3 to 6).

Electronic Communication Devices Scheme, Yooralla (Brooklyn)

The Aids and Equipment Program/Electronic Communication Devices Scheme (ECDS) subsidises the purchase of electronic communication devices for people with complex communication needs.
