Young Care Leavers
For young people who are leaving or have left out-of-home care in Victoria
Every year approximately 400 young people aged 16 to 18 have their Victorian Custody or Guardianship court orders cease for the last time. These young people might have been in foster care, residential care or living with their relatives or siblings (kinship care).
Not all young people have family or friends they can rely on for help and advice. If you are a young person aged 16 to 21 and you have left out-of-home care, including kinship care, there are post-care support services across Victoria to help you.
This site will help you find services and supports if you are a young person who has left or are leaving out-of-home care.
