New information kit helps organisations become care aware

A new information kit has been released for funded departments, councils and organisations to have a clearer understanding of their roles and responsibilities to provide services to people in care relationships.

Victoria officially recognises carers

The Carers Recognition Bill 2012 will come into effect 1 July 2012. The Bill follows an election commitment to recognise, promote and value the role of carers and brings Victoria in line with other states and territories that already have recognition legislation for carers.
