Victorian Premier's Volunteer Champions Awards
The Victorian Premier’s Volunteer Champions Awards celebrate and recognise the extraordinary contribution of volunteers who commit themselves to making this state a better, safer and more connected place to live.
The broad array of volunteering that takes place in Victoria is inspiring and the Awards recognise Victorians who give their time and skills to better the lives of others and their community.
2015 recipients announced
Fifty one outstanding Victorian volunteers were invited to Government House on 29 November 2015 and were formally recognised for their amazing contributions.

The recipient of the 2015 Dame Elisabeth Murdoch Award, Mr Wayne Etcell, was recognised for over 42 years of community service, including with the Tyabb Fire Brigade, the Chelsea Lifesaving Club, the Chelsea Scouts Group, and as an Honorary Bail Justice and Justice of the Peace.
A further 50 volunteers were recognised for their contributions supporting a wide variety of organisations and causes including emergency services, aged and disability support, multicultural communities, vulnerable Victorians, education and mentoring, and sport and recreation.
