Victorian 2012 RIRDC Rural Women's Award

A wine grape and citrus grower from Red Cliffs has been named winner of the 2012 Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation Rural Women's Award.
Agriculture and Food Security Minister Peter Walsh congratulated the winner of the prestigious 2012 RIRDC Victorian Rural Women's Award, Ms Tania Chapman, at a ceremony at Parliament House in Melbourne on 15 March.
Ms Chapman, selected from five finalists, receives a $10,000 bursary to support her leadership development, an invitation to sit on the Ministerial Women in Primary Industries Advisory Panel for a two-year term, and the opportunity to participate in the Australian Institute of Company Director Course in Canberra.
Ms Chapman will join winners from other states and territories as finalists for the national award to be announced in Canberra in October to coincide with World Rural Women's Day.
